Perspectives

What I think and write about.

Three perspectives on technology—and what it changes for people and organisations.

  1. AI, beyond the hype.

Where does AI help us work and decide better—and where does it not?

I am interested in what remains after the impressive demo: a better process, a sounder decision, more time for what matters. The measure is its effect on everyday work, not the novelty of the tool.

For small and mid-sized businesses, new tools need to fit how the business works. Which results can we rely on? What needs checking? And when is a simpler solution the better one?

  2. Leading people through change.

How do we strengthen human judgement and responsibility as AI takes on more?

As AI takes on more tasks, we need to think beyond the division of work. How do we preserve agency, relationships and the ability to form a judgement of our own?

For me, leadership means building trust and enabling people to make their own decisions. It means keeping responsibility rather than handing it to systems, and giving teams room to learn and try new things.

  3. Simplicity drives success.

Why do we underestimate the business value of design, communication and simplicity?

Good design and clear communication are often treated as surface details. Yet they help determine whether people understand an offer, trust it and use it. Unnecessary complexity costs attention, time and business.

Simplicity is not about hiding difficult things. It means understanding their structure and making what matters accessible—in products, processes and the way organisations communicate.
